Stevie was commissioned to compose a piece related to a dance for the BBC Proms. She chose the Argentinian tango and the result was a baroque tango inspired by the call of the endangered Hooded Grebe to accompany the Bach Suites performed by John Butt and the Dunedin Consort in their Bach Night on 11 Sept 2019 as part of the BBC Proms celebration of the centenary of Sir Henry Wood. The Hooded Grebe is an endangered bird native to Argentina that performs a tango-esque mating dance with a distinctive call which is part of the composition.
