Currently, Stevie is concentrating on publishing a selection of her existing work in printed form so that it can be performed more widely by ensembles, choirs and orchestras.
Her main interest as a composer currently is the exploration of bird and nature inspired work through her Ecotones project. She is also working with French composer, Thierry Pécou on a joint piece following up from a retreat facilitated by First Light Festival and Britten Pears Arts in Aldeburgh, Suffolk in May 2022 which included researching natural sounds and birdsong at the RSPB Minsmere bird reserve and Iken Marshes around Snape. Stevie continues to complete commissions and occasional performances with her hurdy gurdy, a early music instrument related to the violin. |
